Mister Ed has been DJing and producing his unique blend of beats for over 8 years, beginning whilst studying sound engineering at uni in Derby, over this time he has developed only one essential criteria as far as the musical choice goes; A GOOD BEAT. The Mister has mainly played out around Derby and his native Kent at an assortment of pubs, bars, and events including a residency at Maidstone's Bar 9 which was graced with his mix of Chill Out, Funky, and Hip Hop for two years. Early on Ed wasn't finding enough music he wanted for his set so started crafting his own tracks to drop in the mix and compliment what was already there, he has gone on to produce and engineer in several studios with a bunch of other Kent DJs including Lucci (Planet Love Records), Pete Doyle (Rock Solid Productions), and Steve Andrews (Aquillia, Oz Factor) creating everything from Chill Out to Banging House. He has previously set up and run small studios and put together an array of audio visual set ups for corporations like Microsoft and British Telecom and has just completed setting up a new studio at his home which has already given birth to numerous new tunes. Always ready to embrace new technology the Mister is a dedicated user of CD as well as vinyl; opening up far wider selection of music and styles and enabling the immediacy of crafting a tune on a laptop one minute, then burning it to CD and playing it out the next; kitted out with the absolute height of the technology CD mixers open up entirely new styles of mixing; making it possible to loop and sample at will, creating completely unique remixes live to the crowd. One thing's for sure, Mister Ed’s sets always have exclusive tracks hidden within them so you’re guaranteed an original and inspiring blend of beats and sounds to nod to, shake your ass to, or just sit back and drift off to.
