Never one to follow a normal path, Fingz has always worked with a diverse range of music as a DJ, band member, producer, engineer, weird avant-garde noise maker and writer. Fingz has had his fingers in many musical pies.

Starting out as an Acid House DJ in the heady days before the Criminal Justice Bill came into effect, Fingz has evolved his style through many genres. His tastes range from hard jump up Drum and Bass to true school Hip Hop (no jiggy shit please!), Old School Breaks, Electro, Funk, Soul and Reggae; it’s hard to pin him down to a single style but, one thing is for sure, The Funk is always in full effect and Fingz instinctively knows how to rock a party with his trade mark cuts, scratches, and battle persona.

Fingz has played alongside such names as The Scratch Perverts, Tony Vegas, Tim Westwood, First Rate, Harry Love, Adam F, Brockie, Trevor Nelson, Brian G, Mampi Swift, Nicky Blackmarket, and Shy FX, and has played out all over the UK and Europe as both Fingz and Bad Fingz; Club Class, The Penny Theatre, The Street Level Festival 1998-2001, The Total Eclipse Festival, BBC Music Day 2002, The World Music Festival 2001, Breakology Drum n Bass and Hip Hop, Sunday Funk @ Escape, Battle of the MC's 2003, Club Remix (Czech Republic), The Beach Bar and Full Moon Club (Greece), he was resident for two years at Masterchefs in Kent and has hosted his own shows as well as guested on Rival FM, Hot FM, Supreme FM, Force FM, Essence FM, and Y2K FM.

He has always had a love of all things break related and has had an itch to scratch from an early age. In 2002 he tested his skills in the UK DMC competition and although not placing he proved to his doubters that he had balls of steel and skills to match!

Fingz has also released numerous collections of music as part of A Band Called Sun as Scratcher and Producer (on their own Bad Vibes imprint), has a release just out as part of Drum and Bass production trio Retronym on Pie Factory Music, and recently worked alongside Mark Saunders (drummer for Jah Wobble) in an improvised jazz quartet; he is currently producing and engineering a number of artists at both FYCD and Pie Factory studios, playing residencies at AAAHHH!! in Ramsgate and Kudos in Ashford, and recording some cool scratch riffs for Wellycat.
