Dave Mills
Producer/DJ
Progressive House
Based UK

Dave Mills began his DJ journey in 1996 playing his way around the usual bars until he met up with Damon Williams and they kicked off their phenomenal Cool House nights in Cardiff, first at Las Iguanas bar, then moving on to the Emporium.

Word spread quickly through clubland that something new and exciting had appeared on the scene, and Dave and Cool House rapidly built up a small army of loyal supporters including journalists proclaiming the rebirth of the Welsh club scene and Radio 1 listeners voting it one of the best house nights in the UK.

Through his residency at the night Dave found himself playing alongside some superb guests including Layo & Bushwacka, Mr. C, Yousef, Peace Division, Danny Howells and Slam, when Radio 1 threw their first ever Big Weekend event Dave was on the main stage with Sander Kleinenberg, Erick Morillo and The Chemical Brothers, as well as in the Cool House hosted after party VIP room, he also showed up alongside Judge Jules, 2 Funky, Oliver Lang and a bunch of others at Escape into the Park, and with Deep Dish and Steve Lawler also in 2005.

Besides all things Cool House and festival style Dave has been no slouch playing out at other people's nights and has packed in some of the best in the UK; Turnmills, The Cross, The Egg, Club Colissium, Sankeys Soap, Circus @ The Masque Theatre, and a mass of clubs around Cardiff, Swansea and Bristol including Lakota, Creation, The Fez, Pulp, The Emporium, The Great Hall, The Coal Exchange, Liquid, The Compass Point Festival, The Union, Evolution, Po Na Na, The Escape Club, The Palace and Indigo. He's also popped up on the airwaves with Ministry of Sound Radio, Vibe 101, BBC Wales and Bass FM, put together one of the Cool House mix CDs and is currently the subject of a TV documentary!

Alongside Cool House resident Matt Joy, Dave also turned his hand to production, with debut track Sick String picking up Radio 1 playouts and support from the likes of Pete Tong, Deep Dish, Nic Fanciulli and Tall Paul. Dave and Matt have also just finished remixing Jean Jacques Smoothie's new track Over the Edge, for Plastic Raygun Records, and to top it all Dave was named Best DJ and Cool House the Best Dance Night at the 2004 Welsh Music Awards.

Besides being one of the hardest working guys on the scene Dave's also one of the most passionate, he loves the music, he loves the clubbing, and it comes across when he plays and produces, he connects with crowds and has built the respect of a host of journalists and notable DJs, get ready to hear a lot more from Mr Mills.

“His style is a little bit funky, a little bit sexy and incredibly filthy, exactly the kind of house music you need to hear”
