Biography
Alexis Georgoulis has been one of Greece's best known and loved faces for several years after a series of high profile performances in TV series, theatrical productions and feature films. He is best known to international audiences from his first major US feature film appearance My Life In Ruins in 2009, playing the love interest to My Big Fat Greek Wedding star and writer Nia Vardalos.
The $17m film drew an impressive list of talent; Richard Dreyfuss also starred, Donald Petrie directed, Mike Reiss co-wrote with Vardalos and Tom Hanks produced the romantic comedy following the experiences of a tour guide in Greece where she meets a tall, dark and handsome bus driver...
More than just a pretty face and great actor Alexis co-wrote as well as starred in the TV series Kinoumeni Ammos, directed a play for the Greek National Theatre, directed a short film and is also a talented blues guitarist, civil engineer and "a great kisser" according to Vardalos.
Alexis begins shooting his next feature later this year in a film covering the history of Greek football team Olympiakos.
