Alexis Georgoulis has been one of Greece's best known and loved faces for several years after a series of high profile performances in TV series and films. He has just wrapped his first major international feature film appearance My Life In Ruins, playing the love interest to My Big Fat Greek Wedding star and writer Nia Vardalos.
The $17m film is the first to be granted permission to shoot at some of Greece's most famous ancient monuments and has drawn an impressive list of talent; Richard Dreyfuss also stars, Donald Petrie directs, Mike Reiss co-writes with Vardalos and Tom Hanks produces making for a hotly anticipated summer romantic comedy following Vardalos' experiences as a tour guide in Greece where she meets a very handsome dark stranger...
More than just a pretty face and great actor Alexis co-wrote as well as starred in the TV series Kinoumeni Ammos, directed a play for the Greek National Theatre and is also a talented blues guitarist, civil engineer and "a great kisser" according to Vardalos.
Alexis begins shooting his next feature later this year in a film covering the history of Greek football team Olympiakos, he will be available for in-person interviews as release dates are planned for My Life In Ruins.
